Devlog #2 : UI rework and additions


To first address the delay in devlogs, I had health issues and could not get much work during that time.

But now I'm back and here to share with you the work I was able to do -

1.  In my previous post ,I shred that I implemented the lyra system of having multiple layers to handle the different types of menus and hud assets that the game will have. The majority of the work for migrating from the old framework to this one has been completed and now the game will pop up and confirmation box for certain buttons like quit or load

2. Loading in and out of a level was extremely jarring and abrupt, so to fix this I added a fade in and fade out widget which plays every time a level transition happens


3.Added a pause menu which lets you load from the previous checkpoint, go to settings or quit the game.


4.The settings menu has been expanded to include options for

 - Window mode

 - Resolution

 - Changing game sounds(bgm, sfx and UI)
